The Enchanted Stone of Tlalpan
South of Mexico City , in Tlalpan , there is a place called Fuentes Brotantes , famous for a rock that is on the bank of a stream called Tres Ríos or La Unión . The locals know this formation as “ the stone ,” which is said to be magical.
The stone that has given life to this legend is located in the National Center of the Springing Fountains of Tlalpan, where a stone mysteriously appeared on the banks of a stream. It is said that those who pass by that place mysteriously disappear , but there is something hidden behind all this: a legend from many years ago.
Every two years, between December 24 and 31, the stone disappears and a tent appears in its place, believed to be the remains of an ancient civilization.
Another myth is that the stone hides caverns that extend across the ground where there are labyrinths that take you to other worlds .
There are situations that have no rational or scientific explanation, such as the following event that apparently occurred in the 16th century, in the Tlalpan municipality of Mexico City.
In the Fuentes Brotantes National Park , you can find the famous Enchanted Stone. Legend has it that a couple in love was practically swallowed by this immense natural structure.
They believe that the Enchanted Stone is a meteorite that fell thousands of years ago; the graffiti that vandals have made on it simply fades away with the rain, unlike the trees on the site.
